Plan B to being mortgage free

Another two months has gone past!
Everything seems to be up in the air at the moment - still looking for another job but not really enjoying the process. I came a close second in the interview I went to so that was a bit disappointing but not a bad effort I felt for my first interview in so many years. I've had a lot of rejections but do have another interview next week with the NHS. The hours say flexible, so we'll see just how flexible when I speak to them.
We were able to remortgage last week so our payment has reduced by £80 but we're going to keep it at the same overall amount so the overpayment has increased which we are thrilled about. We've taken a five year fixed and the plan is that we will be clearing the whole amount to tie in with the new rate expiring. So we're very excited.
Cash back income is going well I got £45.01 in January and £133 in February! I really love Prolific and cannot recommend it enough!!
My weight seems to have hit a plateau but I'm ok with that at the moment once the kids get back to school I'll be able to get walking at a rate that raises my heart rate and I'll be snacking less (hopefully).
Hope everyone's keeping safe and wellMortgage Balance June 2020 £102,824.39 Now £90,500.000 -
Shame about the first job but good interview practice. Fingers crossed for the NHS job - love working for them and can't imagine working anywhere else really. Flexible hours are usually pretty flexible - depending on the role, there will be core hours that you'll need to be there but other than that you can usually pick your own start and end time and as long as you get the work done and work the total hours they're paying you for, then most managers don't really mind what hours you work. Love prolific too, although I'm starting to slow down a little with it now - think I'm averaging about £10 a week at the moment.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

The dream would be within school hours so I can still do drop off and pick up - if DH will need a car and we're reluctant to buy a second one. That's really useful to know though my plan was to tell them my "dream" hours and see what they came back with.
Prolific is great when you've got time I try to do the quick ones so I'm not spending all day on the computer.Mortgage Balance June 2020 £102,824.39 Now £90,500.000 -
I'm finding Prolific really slow at the moment 🙁 Plus I'm sure they used to have a commitment that the earnings would never be less than £5/hour, but there are definitely some that are quite a bit less than that at the moment 🤔
Great work on the re-mortgage, and good luck for the interview 🤞!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Thank you!
I don't know about Prolific having a minimum rate I never saw anything about that - I only ever really look at the time, I've done enough surveys over the year to know I prefer completing things quicklyMortgage Balance June 2020 £102,824.39 Now £90,500.000
