Valuation fine but gone back to underwriter (Halifax)

Accounts were approved, valuation done 17/6 all fine, broker chasing offer to be told it's gone back to the underwriter for further checks.
Anyone had this?!!!

    You are self-employed.

Helps if you give the back ground rather than us having to look around, or stick to your last thread

Whenever a valuation comes in it goes back to an underwriter for double checking everything. Especially now due to the current climate.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Sorry I thought "accounts" was sufficient.

Thanks, just broker was a bit surprised not to have got offer yet.

A senior underwriter is the one who has the authority to make an offer on behalf of the lender.  They'll be a final review once all the neccessary information is collated. Applications aren't approved on a bit part basis.
