I don't know much about this but I'm sure I read on here not to open a new bank account until you've done the bankruptcy because that will close everything that is currently open?!QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0

I'm preparing to go br next week and went today to open a co-op account. I did it today as I'm on benefits and need the new bank details to give to the dss before the bankruptcy. I'm sure I've read on the forum that the or may or may not freeze the account, but if he does it will only be temporary as you need an account for essential living. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me!
My application was referred too, probably due to the fact that I've only lived at my current address for 8 months. On the positive side the computer at the bank said no ID was required and the lady said that was a good sign and probably because I already have an account with another bank.0 -
Remember, its NOT the OR that freezes the accounts, its the banks. The OR can tell the bank that they have no interest in the account, then, if your lucky, its un frozenThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

i had my appointment and they were very helpful, she suggested i pay a pound a month to each creditor, but it would be no good for me, as iam not going to have a increase in my money till i qualify in six years, so we disscussed going bankrupt and she gave me the number of the bankrupt deparment and they where very helpful, so iam going to go bankrupt. I can't belive at 28 iam going bankrupt, but it will be such a relief to be able to start again and not have this worry. I have phoned edf grant trust, to get help with the costs of going bankrupt and they are sending me forms for me to apply, so just need to get the money together and the next step is getting an appointment, should i get an appointment now or when i have got to money togetherMarried 09/09/090

I would give the court a ring and find out if there is a long wait to get an appointment. If there is then I would book an appointment and if you haven't got the money together you can always cancel and rebook it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
