Not sure what the issue is they furloughed you to save money others attempted to do your job and screwed it up, now they want you to fix it. Fairly obvious it was not your fault as you were not there. As the above it shows the chances are if jobs are to go in the future yours probably will not be one of them.

As others have stated, you don't really have any grounds to challenge the task.

Is the task actually as difficult as you think? Do you have any existing reports that can return the information you need?

If not already set up, there may be a report builder that you can use.
  • I was due to start a new job as a bar manager at the beginning of April but due to lockdown this has been put on hold. As lockdown occurred when I had not left my old job they put me on furlough ( which I am grateful for)
My old employer has now informed me that they are due to open on the 6th July and my furlough pay will stop ... but my new employer has told me that while social distancing is still in place the pub will not be opening as it would not be viable for him to do so.
I am at a loss to see where this puts me?
I hope you can give me some advice as I’m worrying myself sick.

    kind regards

It would have been better to start your own thread otherwise answers can get confused and you might not get all the relevant information.

You will need to look at either universal credit or new style JSA to help you from the 6th July as there is no way around the furlough situation. Have a look at one of the benefit entitlement calculators such as entitled to or turn2us so that you can see what you might be eligible for based on your circumstances.

In the meantime you might want to think about a mortgage break if applicable or any other payment holidays you might be able to negotiate.
