Hi All,
I would be grateful if you could help me. I am top of a property chain and my buyer's buyer had her mortgage valuation (on-site) done on June 3rd but is still waiting her mortgage offer. Does anyone know if there is a backlog at the moment and how long it normally takes ?
Thanks in advance for your help

mine was approved subject to one document being provided 2 days after the valuation. Official offer was a week after the valuation1

We have a similar issue. Our buyers had their valuation done on June 5th and have (apparently) been verbally advised there is no problem with their offer but have still not had it in writing so we are waiting to exchange contracts...and waiting, and waiting. Not sure why this process is apparently taking so long.0

My valuation with Natwest was on 28th May and only today, after chasing continuously, they cared to email my broker saying that L&G "requires the building owner and/or its agent as the responsible person under the regulatory reform (fire safety) order 2005, to produce a written statement to confirm that the subject property meets the requirements of the current guidance form MHCLG. The statement must be prepared by a suitably qualified independent professional."
I had logged a formal complaint with Natwest for poor service and got some compensation0 -
Our valuation was 25th June and our offer came through today on the 30th June0

Our situation s now sorted out as our buyers finally got their Offer but just to say that there seems to be 2 situations with Natwest - first section of people get through AIP, Full Application, Valuation, Offer really quickly (possibly within 10 days total); second section of people (like our buyers) get caught up somewhere in process and it seems like they are "forgotten" for a couple of weeks and nothing moves. Don't know why but try not to worry if you are in the latter camp.
