Childcare Offer Wales

In Wales the childcare funding has been removed for all new applicants since March and does not seem like it will be returning any time soon, even with nurseries opening across the country and people needing to return to work. Can’t post the link but is easily accessible.
We have contacted our Local Authority who have confirmed “Children who were approved and eligible for funding before the 18th March can still access the funds if they are attending the setting from the 29th June. This refers to children who were eligible from the September term and the January term. Children who were eligible from the April term are not eligible for funding even if they were approved before the 18th March.”

This seems completely unfair and disadvantages some families purely based on the age of their child?
Are any others finding this difficult across Wales and what would be the best way to raise this as an issue?
