Child support

Options
Hi

wondering if anyone can help
I’ve tried looking but feel the information is a tad confusing

so my husband has a child from his first relationship he is 19 and is at college full time so we still pay out money to his mum which is a private arrangements  not via the child support etc.

Now my stepson has got a full tomw
job of 37 hours a week at the moment doing telephone calls to support the track and trace line so it is only temporary with unknown duration at present. Now he said he is thinking about going back to college in September and he is 20 in April so we know our maintenance stops then but do we still pay now whilst he is working full tome ? He said he has to pay his mam £50 a week rent as her child benefits etc have stopped but she was gonna reapply for them in September if he goes back to college or if he stops working

I can see that child maintenance is paid till his 20th birthday whisky he is in education or until child benefit stops.  So as of now he is finished college officially this week after his last exam and is working full time 37.5 hrs and his mam has stopped claiming child benebift so where do we stand during this ? Do we stop payment for a July and August and resume in September if he returns to college ? Until he is 20

If the resident parent is not in receipt of child benefit then the liability for maintenance ends
