Mortgage Application

We’ve just had a mortgage offer for £80k to  move house after previously having arrears and court action. Although we’ve had this offer we want to go for £100k which will result in 80k being withdrawn and a new application for 100k. If this is refused a new application for the 80k would need to be submitted, could this still be refused and what would the be the likelihood of this happening? Anyone had any experience they could share please?

Why do you need to withdraw the £80k appilcation? You could just ask for it to be amended to £100k?
There is still the risk it could be pulled however, it will depend on the lender and your circumstances so difficult to say anything more concrete. You need to speak to your broker or your lender and ask what happens if you wanted to try for a larger mortgage.
