All gone so fast...

Evening folks.
Everything has gone so fast, been really busy over the last 2+ weeks.

We decided on an estate agent and she hasnt failed us. House put on the market last thursday valued more than i thought. Had 13 viewing over the weekend into monday. Got an offer at market value plus a few cheeky offers, and we accepted.

We found a house we love, got our mortgage application in with accord through a broker. I was shielding so of work on furlough. I have decided to opt out and have a return date for the 29th june. So supplied that with my application.

We are a bag of nerves and the anxiety is bugging us as we have nothing much else to take our minds off things. Kids are bored and want to go back to school.

What are you folks that are with accord mortgages experience?
We were declined a DIP with our current lender - santander.

Cheers.

Accord are a great lender with sensible approach to underwriting, in my opinion.

  • Thanks LR.
Our mortgage broker said that too.
With not much to do and more thinking its quite stressful.
  • One for the brokers of the forum.

I called my mortgage broker for and update today. He said everything was fine and that accord used the home report transcript for the valuation. To add they also done a hard credit search on 17/6.

The pessimist in me is just waiting for a stumbling block or decline to come in. Can anyone tell me where abouts in application we are? roughly, what can go wrong from here? My wife seems quite confident about everything, and me, i dont want to get beyond things.

    Sorry.

what was your outcome? Currently am waiting for an offer from Accord and I’m super nervous about it!!
  • We got our offer through on the 7th of july, we were the same, all they asked for was a letter from my employer asking if i was going back to work on same terms of contract after furlough.

Now our problem is with our buyer, i feel like giving up but its gonna cost a lot of money for nothing.

Accord used to be terrible - back in 2013. We stopped using them and actively avoided them for about 4-5 years, I took the view that we would rather lose the business then deal with them.

I then had a case I had no option but to send to Accord and they were very very good. We have used them 3-4 times since and honestly dont have a bad word to say about them now. We do not use them a lot as we tend to go after different types of customers but definitely not a lender I avoid anymore.
