!!!HELP!!!

Options
I have put off BR for months now, not paying debts and just living. Letters are coming from Agencies that the debt has been sold onto but I still am putting this off everyday.
I’m so scared. My ex and me declared BR In 2007 and he dealt with it all and 2 years later he left and basically life fell apart and gradually got worse. Now it is picking up except I am hiding from my debts completely.
I started my online form last October after DMP was unmanageable, I’m scared an IPA will be the same and leave me with nothing

I suggest you speak to your local Citizens Advice. They will be able to help you figure out what is going to be the best solution for you. You will feel better once you can share your concerns with them. They will be able to help in spite of the pandemic.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Debt can be crushing and make you feel hopeless, that you can't face the day without worrying constantly about it. But talk to citizens advice or stepchange. They will let you know based on your circumstances what is right.

A DMP was quite high for me but going bankrupt allows you to put down every reasonable expense including clothing, small amount of savings, ample grocery budget etc because they want to make sure you don't get in this situation again. I have a good salary yet still no IPA so don't worry about that. Plus since your previous bankruptcy everything is online, you don't have to attend court and the OR interview is usually over the phone. It's been such a pain free experience for me and since going bankrupt I feel like I've got my life back.

So try not to panic or think you are alone, just take a breath, talk to a company who can give advice and then if BR is right for you go for it, it's the best decision I made with my debt which I had also just hidden from for years.

    Good luck!

Thanks, I did talk to Stepchange last year I have just hidden away from it for too long. I really just need to take the plunge and get it done. Too many sleepless nights!

How much debt do you have ?
Don`t fret about letters, debt collectors always run through their standard range of collection letters with you, thats nothing, you can ignore such things, what matters is how much money you owe, and what they can prove by way of evidence.
