Hi All,
I received an email from PRA group offering a 65% on my account. So i logged in and the account shows the balances.
Anyway having spoken to them, they're now saying that the discount is only available on one of the small balances, and not across the board.
Naive question obviously, as i know its not this simple, but if i was to pay the balances at the discounted rate - offer still valid according to their offer closing date; what are the chances of successfully arguing that i've accepted their offer of a full and final settlement?
Thanks

and yet then not honour it.0 -
If you want to settle all your accounts at 35% make that offer to them in writing using the National Debtline standard letter
(Actually start below that to allow some room for negotiation - say 25%)
Make it clear that you require their response in writing and won't be parting with cash until you get that.0 -
They can send you what they like in the post, unless they actually agree to it, then its not valid.Go with fatbelly on this one, these situations tend to be fluid, and whats not acceptable today, may be in 3/6 months time, this kind of thing is a long term approach.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
