peoples pension

hi  I am now 57 and my employer has enrolled me in the pension scheme as i have only about another 10 years working life left is it really worth it at my age I pay around £9ish and my employer around  £12ish   as if i get a little more than the state pension with this one would that then stop me claiming certain benefits when i retire?

You dont say the frequency but lets say that is weekly. 10 years of £15 free money is £7,800.   Is there a reason why you don't want £7,800 of free money?  (if monthly, then its £1800 of free money)

    That is an incorrect assumption.

..why would you not want free money regardless of how much working time you have left or how old you are?
