Warning someone is scamming entrants to this competition. I received a comment saying I'd won and was initially excited but when I looked into it more I realised the comment was not from the original official page but a personal profile disguised as it and they seem to have told several people they have won, before the end of the actual competition, then told them to sign up on an unofficial site. I believe the original is official but someone is then targeting people sharing it posing as the company in order to get info. I will also report this to the company and facebook.

Update: Meridian Foods were very responsive and are working with Facebook to address this issue. Just in case, double check any contact to see it is from the official page and don't get caught out like I almost was!

This is happening A LOT with FB competitions, unfortunately. If anyone comments on your shared post claiming you have won, it is 100% A SCAM. They will only announce a winner via their page, or DM you.
It's getting really frustrating having to keep deleting, reporting, and blocking these scam pages!
