New job during mortgage application

Looking for some advice! Full application went in with Halifax in March valuation fee was paid but then we went into lockdown and everything was put on hold, before lockdown I interviewed for a new role within the same company I work for now just a different but very similar role and different location! I received  the job offer but was told I wouldn’t be starting until things calm down but that was fine for me as my job now was secure and I had been working from home! Now the time has come I am able to start my new role and I am wondering if this will affect the application ? As it’s with same company very similar role. We gave all our payslips bank statements etc back in March/April but now with things getting moving again I’m guessing they will probably ask for more to make sure neither me or my partner have been furloughed which we haven’t so do I need to declare my new job and what affect will this have if any?

Do you have a probation period in the new role?
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • @cher1995 Assuming the new role pays the same/more than previous one, it will not have any impact. As long as you're on a permenant contract, Halifax doesn't care about probation either.

Not sure about whether you need to inform Halifax or not as you aren't changing employers, pay isn't going down and it's a similar role. Is the new location still within plausiblecplausible distance of the house you're buying?

Yeah probation period 6 months but as in with same company and role is very similar I’m not worried about this so hoping it’s ok, still waiting for news after valuation took place 2 weeks ago
