This has gone off the rails a little but lets get it back on track.
OP lodge a complaint if you like, it wont cost anything.1 -
In a recent survey, 26% of surveyed adults admitted to telling lies on a loan application. The most popular lie, fib, half-truth or exaggeration, was about salary.A lot of the people surveyed increased, inflated or massaged their income to improve the chances of getting approved for a loan (or to borrow larger amounts of money).I would concider this to be the bottom end of the fraud scale, its something most people will have done at least once, no matter how minor the infraction was.For example, being in debt is a popular reason for lying, as they are desperate to get the loan, perhaps because they are unsure of other options, yes there are those who deliberatly set out to fleese the system, but mostly its desperation that drives people to lie, and its very easy to criticise them from the safety of your keyboard.Fighter1986 makes a good case in his posts earlier on in this thread, lenders are as complicite in these things, just as much as borrowers are, the basic criteria still remains, that if you are unhappy with any aspect of your agreement, then you have the right to make a complaint about it.
