Creditors asking me to contact OR?

When I had my OR interview he asked me to ring British Gas and tell them I was bankrupt and start me a new account. So I rang up with meter readings but apparently the insolvency team are shut due to covid19 but the customer service team advised that they wont do anything until the OR has contacted them anyway.
Next I answered a call from another creditor and informed them of my bankruptcy and gave them my ref number and he started asking why I had needed to go BR and said he will freeze my account for 30 days but if the OR doesnt contact them by then they will start hounding me again.
I went BR on 1st June and it's already on my credit file so definitely in place!
Both places asked me to contact the OR office and chase them but I know from here that it's best to leave them alone.

Don't worry about it, it took a month and a half for my creditors to hear from the OR.. They will hear in due course. You don't need to answer any of their questions. They have your ref number.0

You have gone bankrupt and if it is on the insolvency register they can check there. As others said give them your reference number and that's it. The OR should contact but I had a few companies chase me 3 months after BR and just gave them my reference and ignored further contact. I still have messages through from one debt recovery service but I have blocked their number now. So it is normal for some contact following BR but don't let them scare you, they can't do a thing now. Just give them the reference once and if they keep calling you should inform your OR and they should sort it but I'd leave it a few months for the ORs letter to get to them.0
