My latest update added the Microsoft Edge browser. It looks similar to Chrome. I have used Chrome for so long that I am reluctant to move over to edge. Does anyone use Edge, and if so, how do you find or or compare it to Chrome?

Yuck. Edge came in with Windows 10 way back when in 2015, have not yet met anyone who prefers it to any other browser. Unless they've improved the functionality substantially in a new version, Chrome beats it hands down.0

I don't have any problems with Edge at all. It's my preferred browser. The fact that Chrome is run by Google really turns me off. I love the new version especially as it's much faster than any other I've used0

The latest update for Edge is running Chrome under the hood (or rather the engine, Chromium) - that's why it looks so similar.
People's experience with "old" Edge is irrelevant, so you'll likely get a lot of misleading advice!0 -
Thanks! I think I will give it a go!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I mainly use Chrome, but use the new version of Edge as a secondary browser.
It's very similar to Chrome and you can use all the Chrome extensions. It has recently been highlighted by Computer Adviser magazine as the best browser to use these days. I have my main page set to Google in both Chrome and Edge, and it's difficult to know which browser you're using.
Go for it!0 -
I have mainly used Chrome and firefox (firefox for dailies) but firefox seems to start "not responding" grandson said he prefers edge so tried it and can now dash through the dailies do use Chrome for everything else though0

To Edge users - can you import your extensions from Chrome eg Roboform?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
-
Click the 3 small dots (top-right of Edge screen) similar to Chrome
Go to settings icon down the page
Click Profiles (left-hand side)
Choose import browser data ( at bottom)
Screen shows where you want to import from, then list of items.
Roboform can also be used.
All very similar to Chrome, but faster.1 -
