Nationwide valuation booked

Hi all, me and my partner applied for our mortgage through nationwide. We got an email saying they were checking documents and then today another saying the valuation is booked next week. Is this a good sign? Would this mean we have already passed the documents checks/credit checks?

    Not necessarily.

I had my nationwide valuation done before they rejected me - after they rejected me I clarified some of their issues through my mortgage advisor and they accepted me.

What were some of the issues, if you don't mind me asking?

First was believed to be the fact I wasn't on the electoral register and this reflected visibly on my credit file, this was down to an error with my local council which they rectified quickly.

Second was my amount of debt I had which was due to be cleared by the proceeds of my current house sale, it was lost in translation that most of this debt was going to be cleared the day I moved.

Third was they needed written proof from my solicitor that the proceeds of sale were going to grant me enough to cover this debt payback.

I assume if I had applied direct to the bank I would never have got any of this information and would have been flat out rejected... but the mortgage advisor used their contact to clarify and fix it and I ended up getting an alright offer from Nationwide.

Ring Nationwide if you think the valuation has happened, regardless of whether your broker has received anything. The lady on the phone told me what the valuation said a few day before broker receiving details.

Hi, looked on the tracker from nationwide and it now says the valuation was completed and is now waiting to be reviewed.
