Child maintenance payments for child in full time education

Options
I have an 18 year old child that I do not see And haven’t seen since 4 years old due to maternal influence. I pay monthly through the CMS. I am aware my ex is advising CMS that my child is still in college but I’m not sure this is true. She is known in the past to be untrustworthy and has lied to the benefits system before, getting in to debt with them and had to repay payments claimed unlawfully.  CMS have advised it is up to her to report any changes until then I need to maintain payments unless advised by my ex my child is no longer in education.  She will not answer my calls or texts so I can ask the question if my child is still in college. How can I find out if my child is still in college? I am willing to accept responsibility for my child as long as I know that my child is definitely in full time education still. Also when would the payments stop direct to my exs account. My child is 19 in April?

Probably check their farcebook page, looks like you may have until at least September 2021 before contributions stop could be 2022.
On a side note I'd have thought you are used to the payments now, I may have been lucky, when the payments stopped I've just chucked the money in the bank, not spent any yet.

I have exactly the same issue. My kids are 'off the grid' and I know why. I have no idea what they're doing, he has just turned 18 and finished school and she is 20 later this year. I have probably been paying for my daughter for the last 2 years when I didn't need to. She obviously has no intention of letting go of my payments until she has to, ie when my Son reaches 20 too.
System is bent (against you), you have no defence, no recourse, no support, no sympathy and no chance of fair play.
You rightly have to pay as the kids are yours, yet that's as far as it goes. She holds the strings and has every institution, department and person on her side. You're just there to get milked!
