I took out a loan secured against my house with Picture Financial Services which went into liquidation many years ago. I paid off the loan in full but don't have the paperwork stating this.
I am trying to move my mortgage into my ex husband name (with his full agreement) but they won't let me because they have no proof of pay off.
Any suggestions of what I can do?

Right, and who won`t let you move your mortgage ?Who is asking for proof of payment ?Picture loans still have a contact number up and working, have you rung and asked them to provide you with proof of payment ?They are currently been administered by Target servicing LTD -

Have you been told that there's still a second charge on your property? Obtain the title deeds from the land registry to see who has charges on your home.
If picture still do then you need to send them a formal written complaint stating they must remove this at once as the finance was settled 12 years ago.
You're entitled to escalate this to the ICO after 28 days and FOS after 56 days if Picture hasn't resolved your request within that timeframe.0
