What Pension? Stakeholder or ... ?

Hey Everyone!
I gave up my job early this year due to ill health. I had a pension with the company I worked for which I had to stop paying into and am currently only on for a state pension when I ultimately retire.
Can anyone suggest what I should do - I don't want to retire on just a stake holder pension and not much else? I have been considering starting a Stakeholder pension but am not sure that this is the best thing to do.
