SOA IPA - Advice

Options
Hi all,
Going to keep this short and sweet.
I filed bankruptcy around 18 months ago now. Due to nature of being bankrupt I was given a BRO, and after submitted my SOA given a steep IPA of £380. Unfortunately I haven’t got a copy of the submitted SOA however expenditure has changed since and we are pretty tight now. I am in a difficult situation.
Basically my partner is arguing why they need to know her income details. She’s saying we are not married, only cohabiting together. She’s saying it’s not her debt so why do they need to know her details.
I am planning on asking for a re-evaluation of my SOA, however when they ask for my partners income I’m going to come against this hurdle.

Please can someone advise why they need these details, so I can explain this simply and clearly to my partner.

Thanks in advance.
Joseph

If your partner does not want to disclose her income the examiner will expect her to contribute 50% of the household expenses

    Thank you for your response.
I have contacted my OR asking for a copy of the original SOA I submitted, just so I can review my expenditure from then to now. Do you think this is something they will be happy to do?

    Thanks once again.

Your old SOA is irrelevant really. All you need to do it tell the OR what your expenditure is now.
As for your partner's income; if she earns more than you then some would say it's wise for her to keep her income private and allow the 50/50 split. If she earns less than you then you need to sit down as a couple and think about how to manage your family finances. However, there is no obligation for her to share her details. Of course, if you have a joint account - the OR will see it anyway
