My attempts to make a Capital Payment against my outstanding WHISTLETREE mortgage are failing miserably. The website (as barren as it is) provides a single telephone number. No email address, nothing. All I want to know is how to pay money in. The site indicates a P O Box number in Skipton. Spot on! - it is just a P O Box at the P Office in Skipton - they don't even appear to have an office. Oh, another thing, the Customer Service Operator I spoke to didn't know what an IBAN Number is! I have used the (eventually) provided IBAN number and my account number (which was changed without me being aware of it) and the electronic transaction was cancelled.
If anyone has an email address for these people I would be very grateful to receive it. However, carrier pigeon, messenger with a cleft palate, two tins and a piece of string, would also be a step in the rights direction

Hi, Thanks for this. I did find this, however, I am sending money from overseas and they did request the IBAN number, address of bank, etc, etc, etc. Despite entering (most) of the information the payment was still cancelled. Perhaps W'TREE dont accept money from overseas? The telephone rep didn't seem to be aware of any restrictions.
Many thanks and the two minute detective work is well noted!0 -

Well, ladies and Gents, I finally got hold of W/Tree who couldnt find my dosh. However, a call a week later got me through to someone who appeared to know what they were doing and, lo and behold the money was found on their system. However, it would appear that the sort code on their site is incorrect. For capital payments it is another sort code but the same account number (????). Anyroad up, the money was found but this was two weeks after it had gone from my bank account. I can live with that, though, as they told me the date of credit in the W/Tree Acc would be back dated. The guy on the phone sounded capable so I left it in his hands - how wrong I was.
I called today - some 35 days after the money left my account - and it still hasn't been credited to my W/Tree account!!! Its in their acc though.
'Can I Speak To Your Supervisor?' - No. Is there an address I can write to - No, do you have an email address - OhYes! media@tsb.co.uk. Where does TSB come in to this???
To say I was / am livid is an understatement and whilst I managed not to swear down the phone the conversation was, somewhat, heated.
The outcome was that the lady would 'Send An Email' - dont ask who too, please.!!!

Hey, less of the sarcasm. Yes, I am aware of the TSB involvement but the fact that the back heeling between TSB / Northern Rock / NatWest and others is well noted it is, as you say 'Pretty Obvious'. Your comment doesn't address my issue so pls keep your useless comments to yourself unless you have something useful to say.0

Probably the request to action is sitting in a non essential work queue. Many organisations are still working at a reduced capacity in some areas. As you were told originally told. The money will be backdated to the original date of receipt.0

https://www.iban.com/calculate-iban
If you found the sort code and account number then getting the iban is very easy. It tells you all the relevant info needed0
