What happens on an valuation??

In processing of selling my house and have been told valuation will be completed on tuesday next week. Can anyone advise what acutally happens during an valuation. Do we have to be present for it. Is there anything i should do to prepare for it happening.  At present in the house is  2 full time workers working from the kitchen table from 6am till 10pm at night. a 1 year old and too small dogs. Not sure of this whole process if any one can give advice on it.

No particular "process" to be concerned about or that you need to prepare for. The surveyor will have a look around the house, probably quite a brief one if it's literally just a mortgage valuation rather than anything more in-depth. They'll be used to dealing with occupied properties, though I expect there'll be some shuffling around if you all want to maintain social distancing.
