Hiyah everybody - still loving this challenge and have done really well with IPSOS this month - almost got another £10 voucher - that's about £40 since january in the pot from various vouchers...just from IPSOS.

I was lurking on another thread and someone had a fantastic idea as she had got some coffee plant seeds cheaply so she was going to try and grow the plant herself and then wrap them in cellophane and give as gifts - I think you could go one further and do a hamper - I often get free tea and coffee samples in the post and could add coffee chocs, chocolate coated beans some coffee mugs, and anything else coffee or tea related - does your mam like coffee? it's practical if it's going to be used and saves her buying any for a while, gonna do this for GMIL for christmas this year. Maybe get some luxury coffee also and some marks and spencers tea cakes...!!!(getting silly now)

you can get vouchers for certain hotels/leisure companies - could you not acrue them from say pigsback or some other cashback site and give her them for a weekend away somewhere and then when she says it's cost too much - you can say technically it hasn't. Then you don't have to worry about booking somewhere if getting the dated are difficult!?

Oh you lot are too good!! (we have a wii fit, which she does like thanks sugar!)

Organic veg box or such like would be well received I think (i bought seeds last xmas and our potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn, radish and tomatoes are blooming :D)

I might be able to get a hotel deal with the Tesco vouchers (she wouldnt mind that, in fact would positively commend my thiftyness!!)

    love u guys!!!

Thanks for the suggestion (and what a bargain!) but this isn't Mum's kinda thing at all. She likes practical presents (she'd prob prefer an iron!) except I've exhausted all options.

I'm so glad I am not the only one with a fussy mother, its her bday 1st July, so far she has a pack of nighties off daughter, her reasoning, you always need a set of spare nighties, you never know when u need them!

I asked her she wanted - knickers....... it says it all,

Wouldnt mind as much but as its dads 70th this yr, he had his rally driving experience, which is now the best thing in the world to do, bar going up in an hot air ballon.

So I brought them a joint present those posh wooden garden seats that are joined together with the table, came today - shes moaned as she has to share it... says it all x

LOL!! Well she has declared an interest in pamper vouchers for her bday, and has happily taken a recent interest in wine :D so think the bday is sorted. Love the idea of theatre tickets or a few days away somewhere...found a Travelodge for 3 nights mid weeks with breakfast for 2 people for £100, which would double up as Dads present :D

amazon is 4% on cashbackrewards I always go through that! payout £25 so take a while to get it but slightly better than pigsback.

another tip if anyone else is thinking of getting a hotel break present, sign up for travelzoo (free) it sends you 20 top deals of the week, some good ones on there.

Decided to clear wardrobe over summer and start ebaying again in September. Never really do well over the summer plus I'm away for a little while.

Anyone got ideas for getting Argos vouchers? I tend to spend these at xmas a lot.

Just also been invited to a wedding so need a gift for that too!

Argos vouchers, you can getthem off Valued Opinions surveys, on average £20 to £40.00 a yr for filling in surveys, they send the invite to you, thou the pain in the rear bit is, you start the survey then half way through u dont meet their criteria, we have had no probs with them paying vouchers out. x
