Yay the more the merrier guys! :j
Yep this is not just for Xmas, it can be for anniversary, birthday - any gifts you have to buy, you can join in the challenge!!
OK here is my first and somewhat premature update and explanation of :
'What I've got for 2008'
Boots Advantage Card: £122.23 :j (Using the Boots thread on Grabbit)
Nectar Card: £10.23 (for Argos) (Petrol and Surveys from TNS)
Tesco Clubcard: £0.50 or £2 in deals (aww bless!) (Petrol & Shopping!)
Piggypoints: £5 (loads cashed in but got £5 towards next Boots voucher)
Quidco pending (to be paid in 2008): £11.44
eBay: Zilcho
Toluna (formerly test&vote) :5485 - need 60'000 for a £12 hmv voucher!:D:D
EDIT: Also thought we could help each other out with getting more loyalty points etc, if a certain person follows Tesco thread and others don't then sort of share the info if there is a good deal, similarly with Boots as it can take a while to get into the long threads. Similarly any good points schemes/survey sites....

Can I join up please?
I've ebayed quite a lot this last few months and the profit has just disappeared into the general slush fund. It would be so much better to know that our gifts next year hadn't 'cost' us anything.
It might also help me to get organised for the january sales!

Brilliant idea. I've just moved, so it's been an expensive year and I've let some of my money saving schemes slip. This will be great to get me back on track0

Great idea! I want to join too.
We have just moved into a new home and this year has been expensive.
I've already set a limit for birthday and christmas presents for next year!
This will add to the challenge!

Can I join in please? I love the sales & my Mum always stays with us just for the next sale!!!!
My sister gave me a filofax (I already have one) in my birthday persent so that can be my present book.
I also get all my wrapping paper and cards in the sale & this year I need to get a wooden advent calendar for my youngest daughter (she is only 9 months so did not worry for this year)
I love the boots thread & I am looking forward to boots glitches in 2008!!! I bought my customers Xmas presents with some of the glitches this year!

While I'm on holiday over Christmas I'm going to make a list of all the foreseeable presents, and some contingency for babies and weddings that we don't yet know about! I have to say, mine will all be in Excel on a spreadsheet. It makes it so easy to change things and you don't have to be able to add up either. I did try to start keeping track of gifts last year and sticking to a budget, but it never occurred to me to offset the costs. I already do Pigsback, Quidco, Toluna (not very seriously) and of course, Tesco clubcard points (very seriously indeed!). I will also continue to sell on Ebay. Making full use of the MSE forums should double, triple, quadruple earnings of the past!0
