Right here goes like it or not I have a chance to buy my council house my plan was when I was working to cash in my pension and part buy part mortgage at the age of 55 but have since had a heart attack so no longer working so chance of mortgage no longer an option but I have got an inheritance coming later in the year with the stock market up and down I think it would be wise to draw my pension and pay off some credit cards and my car finance etc leaving some aside to put towards my inheritance and purchase the house
My main problem is being on universal credit since my heart attack is this my best option or not

Impossible to know from the little information you've supplied. Seems to be more about benefits than pensions. Try http://turn2us.org.uk to see how your plans would impact on your claim for universal credit.1

Find out how your UC claim would be affected by each course of possible action, then make your decision when you have enough information to do so.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1
