bacs payment time

Hi, I was just wondering how long a bacs payment should take to go into your bank account?
At the beginning of April I received a letter from HMRC saying I was due a tax rebate which was from a PPI claim. The cheque was being sent within 14 days to the solicitor who claimed back the money for me. On the 27th May I received a text from the solicitor asking for my bank details so they could forward the money via BACS and to expect the money withinn 7 - 14 days. I replied and they received my details the same day and yet I have still not received the money.
I have read that bacs payments usually take about 3 days but this has now been 16 days, is there anything I can do? I have text the solicitor on the number they text me but I have had no reply.
Thanks x

BACs sent on a Monday would arrive in your bank on Wednesday unless....
1 - some ex building societies take an extra day
2 - some accounts that work by sort code, a/c number and reference can take a further day.The cheque was being sent within 14 days to the solicitor who claimed back the money for me.Was it a solicitor or a CMC?
Why would HMRC send the refund to them? That is not normal.

HMRC sent the money to the solicitor because it was them who claimed the tax back from a PPI claim. The date of the letter is 8th April 2020. Solicitor contacted me 27th May 2020 to request my bank details and said I should receive the money within 7 - 14 days.
