Hi just wondering if wife can claim the 60%.
wife reached retirement age 06/03/2016, I reached retirement age 06/11/2019?
Not sure after reading report if I had to reach retirement age before April 2016
Many thanks Dallad

Hi just wondering if wife can claim the 60%.Do you mean that your wife reached State Pension Age on 6/3/16 ( ie in the old system which operated before 6/4/16) and you reached State Pension Age on 6/11/19 (ie in the new system)?

See https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/181235/derived-inherited-entitlement.pdf
on page 8 - which deals with
Scenario 1: a. Dependant reaches State Pension age in the current system b. Contributor reaches State Pension age OR dies OR divorces under SPa in single tier

Can a wife who currently gets less than 60% of her husbands pension, claim for the full 60% regardless of how much NI she has contributed - i.e not enough? She retired in 2005 and he retired in 2009.0

You and spouse both reached SPA in what is described as "the current system" (ie current when the note was written, now the old state pension scheme).27.In every instance where the Dependant reaches SPa in the current system and the Contributor reaches SPa in the current system as well, then the rules will continue to operate as per the current system, which is detailed in Annex A.
See Page 21 onwards of above.
