How long are Halifax valuations taking?

Mortgage application went in with Halifax on Monday, broker said all ok subject to valuation on Tuesday and that one has been instructed.

Does anyone know how long it's taking for Halifax to get physical valuations done nowadays? The estate agent said no one's called to book in a survey yet and keeps pestering me about it.

You'll be in the queue. There was a backlog , unsurprisingly.  Not Halifax, it's the availability of 3rd party surveyors.

Hi,

08/06/2020 - Halifax application submitted (via MA).
09/06/2020 - Valuation completed.(digitally, this can be done depending on the area - this house isn’t a new build).
10/06/2020 - Halifax requested copies of our payslips.

Just waiting to hear back if we’ve been accepted! Pretty pleased with how fast everything has gone so far! 

Sadly the same can’t be said for my MA 😢.

@FTBNorth20 Wow that is quick. Our broker was hoping for a desktop valuation too but sadly that didn't happen

@jamielutz1987 Yeah I was really surprised. Just a waiting game now, I just wish Halifax had a progress tracker.

Just got an email from our broker with the offer!! Looks like Halifax did a remote valuation after all! Great start to the weekend

Valid till March 2021 which seems super long, probably ara Corona related change

Congratulations! Were in the same stage saying 'valuation' . When did you put your application through. Ours was 2nd June and we still haven't heard anything!

We had to send more documents in today, we should hear back on Monday. *fingers crossed*

I wonder what's making ours take so long. We only paid the £200 valuation fee and it's a new build so I assumed maybe it would just be a search online 😩
