Is this legit?

I'm looking for another job as I'm furious with my current employer and want to leave ASAP.

Someone in a group I'm in on Facebook said they were working as a travel agent from home and would I be interested. I said yes thinking it was a proper job as I know some travel agents do use homeworkers.

She put me in this group where everyone is gushing about how wonderful the business is and it's the best thing they ever did yada yada yada, which set alarm bells ringing.

I said no as it was MLM and she said I don't have to do that bit if I don't want to and I can just concentrate on selling travel to people. It's through a company called InteleTravel.

Has anyone had any experience of this as I'm still not sure if it's legit or not!
Here I go again on my own....

MLMs are (unfortunately) 'legit' so it probably is legal, but it's not what you want to be doing

Any group gushing about being a travel agent at present would seem suspicious to me!
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I would probably give it a wide birth, it is probably not what you would want to be doing.

That must be the only rapid growing travel business anywhere in the world right now!

Never heard of them but from a quick Google, I would say avoid it like the plague. You have to pay them a joining fee, and then a monthly fee and form some of the reviews it seems you are then pressured into getting other people you know to sign up too. A lot of the positive reviews are so gushing it is either the best scheme in the world or they are fake.

I’m always suspicious against anything that needs a fee paying up front. If it’s so successful - and there’s so much money to be made - and you’re going to be amazingly well off - why the need to pay them any money ? Why don’t they just take it as a percentage of your wonderful sales? They’d surely make more money that way? I mean - if you’re selling packages left, right and centre - they’d be raking it in if they took a flat 5 percent of your commission. In other words - I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole :)

That sounds painful! But giving this 'opportunity' a wide berth seems wise.

Opps, but still probably less painful then the job opportunity.
  • From earlier posts sounds like a bog standard chain-letter/ponzi type scheme.  Avoid.
