Prior to lockdown myself and my partner had been in the process of clearing all of our debt and saving for a house that we had our eye on. We were planning on using the help to buy scheme and were told we were eligible for the maximum in Wales if we were debt free by the time it came to take out a mortgage. Since this both of our wages have significantly increased, however now when looking at our amount we would be eligible to lend for a mortgage, this has now dropped. Is this due to current covid 19 circumstances?
