Multiple pension advice.

Hi all. I seen an advert for pension bee which sounds too simple. I signed up to it but do not know my work start dates etc etc. And then I seen the costs involved so today I will cancel.
My question is that I am 28 and so far had 4 full time jobs where I have paid into a pension of some sort. The trouble is I don't no what they are called! Is there a way of finding out how much I have altogether so I can work out how I am getting on so far and maybe make amendments, maybe by using my national insurance number?
Many thanks

Only by going back to each company and asking them. There was supposed to be a pensions dashboard initiative that solved your dilemma, iI think its still on the drawing board at the moment1

At each of the jobs you had you should have been given paperwork either by your employer or by the pension provider used by that employer . Have you lost it all ? Also you should get an annual update from the pension provider . Have you moved address and not informed them ?
If the answer is Yes to these questions then follow the advice above and in future keep the paperwork !

What you do need to worry about is the next 30-40 years* - when it is essential you continue to contribute to your pension(s). The easiest way to do this is to do it via your work pension - when you're in work - where your employer will also make contributions for you (so more goes in, generally).
And/or open a pension account of your own. you mention you've tried PensionBee and have decided to cancel because of the 'cost'. That's not a good start! You need to continue paying into a pension - cancelling because it costs money is counter-productive.
*On current rules you can't draw money from a pension until you are 55 - and that age limit may well rise in future.
Edited to add: I assume, if you went to PensionBee via an ad, that you were attracted by their "Transfer your old pensions into one new online plan" headline.
But, unless you know where your pensions are they can't do that.
And even then, depending on what sort of pensions they are it may not be sensible as they may be best left where they are.
You need to know and understand what your current pension accounts are.
And you also need a new one for the future - which may or may not include combining your old ones.0
