Hi.
So I have recently been thinking of getting a  bank loan possibly looking to borrow around £14k for a new car and a couple of other things. On my Experian credit file I have a fair bracket score of 830 despite the fact I have never missed a payment no defaults etc has anybody had any success in being accepted with a reasonable Apr with this kind of credit file history / score or should I not bother denting my credit file with a hard search to be rejected anyways? Also on my clearscore I realised I have a poor score of 300 I have raised 3 disputes with Equifax but no joy they just keep telling me what a credit score is and no explanation as to why my score is so low compared to other credit file agencies?aswell as my credit file having no negative marks with repayments/ credit utilisation/ amount of credit taken. With this also  being factored in should I just not bother even applying? Potentially wait a little?

Thanks in advance guys 👍

Your credit 'score' is only seen by you, though some on here insist it is indicative of the overall health of your report. You should look through the various loans available to see which one suits your circumstances best and apply for one or two. A couple of hard searches will not make that much difference to your file and acceptance/rejection will give you some idea as to how lenders see your situation.
But....a couple of things to remember: You make no mention of your employment or earnings, so that will play a major part. And lenders are tightening at the moment, for obvious reasons, so any loan you may have been accepted for based purely on your credit report may now be rejected.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.
