Kitchen 0% finance mess up
Options
Went to view a kitchen and design it etc, that all went through and got a price and they say would you like to see if you are eligible for the finance for 0% etc you don't have to agree to it yet etc. Anyway it's all accepted saying we are eligible and we leave the store to think. Half an hour later they ring saying that they have messed up and we shouldn't have been able to leave the store without signing it etc. Now it's been a few days and they want us to confirm the finance to put it through.
Will this affect me in anyway like has anything gone through that would affect credit ratings or anything as such.
On a side note they haven't tried to screw us over or anything I do believe the salesperson made a genuine mistake thinking they can run it just to see if we were eligible regardless of if we confirmed it there.

Sounds like a selling tactic. Don't be pressurised.0

Are you planning to buy the kitchen and use the finance? Not having the detail of how it was applied for, and with whom, it's hard to be sure exactly what's happened so far. There's a chance that a soft search has been carried out - that will have no impact on your credit file. There's also a chance they submitted a full application (but should have pointed that out) and on doing so would leave a hard search on your credit file - in isolation it won't have much of an impact - but if you're doing a lot of credit applications over a short space of time, it can be the straw that breaks the camels back in some cases. Firstly decide if you're buying the kitchen, and then whether you're using the finance option, and then go back and discuss it with them. If you're not buying, tell them so, and ensure if they have submitted a full credit application, that it's cancelled (although as you say you've not signed it).0
