So I am back in London after travelling back on Friday. Bit of drama when we arrived as the water wasn't working but a few hours later and a plumber call out turns out there was air in the pipes as no one had been here for 4 months. Much warmer and more humid than up north!
In terms of spends it was a busy weekend. Had to get shopping in which set me back £50 odd. That's the most I've ever spent in one shop just for me. Thankfully I have loads in the freezer so hopefully my next few weekly shops will be low. A few other spends too...- Bought the gel nail kit and started using it. really impressed with what I've done actually! Thought it would be much worse. So this saves me money in the long run. That came to £49.99
- Two new facemasks from Etsy as I realised I only had one. That came to £14 which looking back I really could of got them cheaper than £7 each so I'm a bit annoyed at myself for that.
- Bought mum and dad flowers from Bloom and Wild, got cashback for that. Never used them before but really impressed. That came to £32
- Finally, I did buy a coffee on the way at the service station and a blueberry muffin so that came to £5.64
Glad to be back, even though I won't be saving as much as being at my parents its nice to be back and have my independence and freedom somewhat back.

Unexpected expense alert! A subscription for a tool we use at work was up which I paid for myself last time (no business credit card - stupid I know) and I forgot it was due up. Came to £113 for this so I took it from the Rainy Day EF fund as I don't think I'd have enough to cover it with another 3 weeks until payday. Once expensed back I'll refund the EF again.
I was thinking about this yesterday and how last year I remember sticking it on a credit card because I had no available cash to cover it. Whereas now I can cover it with the EF. Makes me realise how bad my lifestyle was and how I'll never go back to credit cards an debts again. I think moments for reflection are good to see how much you've changed and how far you've come.August 2019 - Debt £8000

Managed to continue to have NSD last week until Saturday. Finally saw my boyfriend for the first time in 4 months at the weekend which was lovely. As a result the weekend was a bit spendier than I would of liked.
Saturday:
We planned to go for a picnic so picked up some bits from Sburys which came to £27.35. This was far more than I wanted to spend but I struggled to get Gluten Free picnic stuff so I bought Sushi from the counter which was £10I also picked up a few bits from there for a general shop too. In future I would of just made my own sandwiches at home and will remember to do that!
Also spent £3.00 on buses to the park and back. Bought a coffee for £3 in the park which really wasn't worth it. Boyfriend paid for takeaway in the evening.
Sunday: We went for a nice walk and stumbled across a food market in the park we went to so we bought lunch while there which was £8. We then needed to rearrange our hotel for a trip to Santorini in Feb next year as there are no flights out there at that time. So we rebooked the hotel and also bought the flights for April so I had to pay the difference for me of £70 but just took that out of the holiday pot which was a great feeling! Rather than having to panic to scramble and find the money I already had it.
Today: Needed to post a parcel with a birthday present to a friend so that cost me £3.70 and then needed to get some shopping for the week from Sburys which came to £29.52 which is more than I wanted to spend as I have tonnes in the freezer. I need to really evaluate where I'm spending money at the supermarkets and make sure I'm sticking to a budget so I printed a receipt and will be reviewing that.
The rest of the week should be NSDs until Saturday fingers crossed!August 2019 - Debt £8000

Reviewed my shopping receipt like I said I would and spent £10.75 on items that weren't on my list
I could have probably have managed without 90% of these items too. Going forwards I will be sticking strictly to a shopping list with no off-road shopping!!
