Will someone paying me back money that I borrowed them affect a mortgage application when they check

I borrowed someone some money over a year ago. They want to start giving me some money back. If they transfer money into my bank in instalments as and when they can afford to will this look weird on a mortgage application?
My deposit money is in my ISA and the money they are repaying me will go to my current account and then I will save it in the same ISA and use it to buy furniture etc when I move.
Will these transfers into my account look weird to a mortgage lender? I won’t want it to affect my application or look like additional income. Does anyone have any advice or similar experience? Will it look bad that I borrowed someone money?

You mean you lent them money, not that you borrowed it from them?

There's no problem with being repaid money you have lent to them.

Hi thanks for your response, yes I borrowed them the money a while ago. I’m concerned that Money being transferred into my account would look strange. Would I have to prove I had borrowed it to them? I’m just paranoid as I have saved the deposit 100% myself and Don’t want to look like I require any financial help

You lent them the money.  They're repaying it because they're the ones who borrowed it.  That's not a problem.

However, if you really are borrowing money for a deposit, then that's a problem.

If you lent your friend money, do you have proof of the transaction on your bank statement? That would then support your friend paying it back.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
