Student loan application - Mortgage

Hi all

I would like to apply for a student loan as I am planning to study part time starting in September but I am also planning to apply for a mortgage early 2021. Will the student loan affect my mortgage application?

    It shouldn’t materially affect it as student loan is a very small proportion of your outgoings, plus you won’t be paying anything for at least 4 years so I wouldn’t even declare it at the moment. Don’t suppose you’re studying part-time with the OU? :)
