So, I started a MFW diary 3 years ago and it seems I managed two posts and that was it!
So why try again now? - well, we are just waiting for the paperwork to come through for our remortgage (our 5 yr fixed finishes this month) and given lockdown etc it's given me the time to play around with some numbers and think about our future goals and plans etc.
So, the current scenario, our family is complete - me, DH and 2 children (both under 10yrs), our home will be our home for many years to come, we will still be here when the new mortgage is due to end in 20 years! Would love to get rid of it well before then! Given my job, I tend to deal with the finances, and have spreadsheets, budgets and pots for alsorts of things
and hubby just tends to go with the flow!
So current list of things still on the to do list:-
1 - complete remortgage - spoke to new mortgage co today, they are sending out mortgage offer in post this week
2 - Update spreadsheets once standard mortgage payment is confirmed and start thinking out regular overpayment amounts
3 - Change bank accounts - long overdue, but have put it off as current bank has lots of 'pots' which I love
4 - Review and finalise Wills - so we have these in draft, just need to sit down and read through and make sure we are happy with them
Well, that will do for my first post, must go and get some ebay parcels ready for hubby to post.
