First time buyer... HELP!

Please bear with me as this could be a long post. We started looking for a property in Scotland as a couple and found our perfect house,  however my job is transferable the wife's isn't so we have been advised by a broker to look at single application.

This is where to confusion starts, besides my income we have 2 dependants that we claim Child Benefit for and we also get DLA for one child (this is in my wife's name but goes in joint account). What income can be used? We are also looking at using either the LIFT Open Market scheme or First Home Help fund to bridge the difference.

Can anyone help or recommend a broker that can give us some clarity as the two we have been in touch with so far (Trussle and First) have left us even more confused.

We are keen to progress as our offer has been accepted, happy to provide further details by pm etc.  Thanks
