I have applied in my sole name despite being married. Husband is discharged bankrupt and not currently employed. My credit history is perfect and earn enough to get the mortgage by myself. Broker new which lenders are ok with this.1

Lenders also like people new to the UK to have lived here for a certain amount of time.
Being financially dependant on you, will have a knock-on effect on the amount you can borrow.
Credit ratings / scores are not seen or used by financial institutions as they have their own way of assessing applications, due to internal algorithm methods. Credit history, satisfactory running of accounts, no missed / late payments, CCJ, IVA, bankruptcy etc are all taken into account. Being on the electoral roll assists with electronic ID.
