I am currently in the process of rebuilding my credit. However I've found a old debt with the moneyshop on my credit file. I've then realised the moneyshop is no longer trading. How do I pay the debt and remove it from my credit file?
Thanks in advance

Paying a debt does not remove it from your credit file, 6 years after default, it will disapear of its own accord. The moneyshops loan books have not been sold as yet, a lot of there debts are been written off as unafordable, its unlikely you will be chased for this debt now, just let time an tide do its job.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks for the feedback. My only worry is that if I go for a morgage in a year or so and this is on my file with no attempt to make a payment plan etc will effect me more than if I try and set something up and get it settled?0
