Help - Incorrect application via a mortgage service

Hi all,
I am hoping someone can offer advice as we are a bit lost and extremely concerned and don't know what to do.
We submitted an application via a  mortgage service and requested a copy of the application. We have found around 10 things incorrectly inputted on there. When discussing this with them, they assured us that the aspects we highlighted would be changed and that in fact they didnt really matter - like I work in health care and it says on the application I work in managerial sales?!
We are pretty sure these things matter. Should we continue with the application and hope the changes are enough? Now the application is submitted can we even withdraw and go with another advisor?
We have waited 1.5 weeks for the application to be submitted we are concerned about how long it will be before we hear anything and if we do end up going with another company how much longer this will take. We are first time buyers and not clued up on the whole process.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

By 'mortgage service', I assume you mean mortgage broker?
You can withdraw your application if you wish but make sure that a new broker is aware of what has been input previously.
I can see no reason why information would be incorrectly entered other than incompetence. Yes, there are some entries we may leave that the borrower may expect us to complete, but these will be for valid reasons. Inputting that you work in sales if you work in health care does not seem to make much sense unless you work in healthcare sales.
If the broker has all they need, 10 days to submit an application is not usual.
If your broker works for a large firm it may be worth speaking to his or her manager.

Thank you for your reply @amblog
Yes, I meant mortgage broker, they are part of a wider company so was unsure how to refer to them.
We have asked them to correct the mistakes, which has been uploaded as an ad-hoc doc, however they altered one element stating I was on a fixed-term contract for 1 year instead of the 3 years I actually. I have asked for a further changes to be made, so we shall see.
We have now been moved over to another person who manages the submitted applications so hopefully, that will help.
