Hello all. I have a question about applying for mortgage with defaults.
My wife and I would really like to try and get a mortgage in about 2 years she is 40 I am 35
My wife has an great credit score. Mine is not so good. As I have 3 defaults. 2 from about 2 years ago both settled and for around £400
And one from 1 month ago(for £300) which is satisfied

But my main question is if I was to make sure everything was kept in order, when we go for our mortgage do you think we would have a chance of getting one. We would hopefully have a deposit of around 40k and the property is most likely to be around 260k
We both have good jobs earning around 40k (also have pensions if that helps) a year and I have been there for 10years my wife 5 years.
If anyone could give me an idea that would be great because I cannot stop worry about.
Edit: we will also have no other debts by the time we apply.

Thanks in advance

It is not 2022 so a bit of a premature question.
Yes, you can get a mortgage with defaults.
If you were applying today and are both earning c£40,000 you would have some options.
If you earning £40,000 between you, £220,000 borrowing is some £40,000 above your likely maximum.
