Hi
Got AIP after soft check.
Got AIP after soft check.
Found property and full application made
Did a multi agency credit search for myself to see if credit checks had been carried out and found a soft search in 2 agencies carried out on day of AIP
Also discovered a default that was unknown to me as was on a CRA I had never looked at. It was one of the ones the lender looked at though so I’m assuming they saw it at AIP stage
Broker forwarded me a text on the day full application went in to say valuation has been instructed
Further info requested and provided.
Broker explains its agreed subject to underwriting
All understood.....BUT, there still are no hard checks showing on my credit file. (I’m bricking it because of this default!! )

Anyone know why this would be??Your broker. That is what you are paying them for.

Don't guage anything on checks showing on your credit files. This may or may not be registered at any time after submission.
Your Broker has probably made a poor job of telling you, everything in is, you have passed initial checks and we are just waiting for the staff that make the final decisions at the Lender (underwriters) to check it over.
If the default was going to be an issue is would 99% of the time have been a problem before this stage.I am a Mortgage Broker
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct.
