Just popping in to wish you luck. I am at the start of a long debt journey too and my first goal was to stop the cycle of spending on credit cards. I haven't used a credit card since October and it really does feel amazing.

I have not been on here in a month so thought I would update. Still slogging away at the debt and its coming down nicely. When you actually see how much money is paid per month to credit cards/loans etc it is very scary. Best part of £1300 being paid every month towards debt! I keep thinking what I could be doing with all that money. Lockdown certainly has made me focus and I had not used my credit cards since April. This month I have which is not good. We are going away for a week ( booked last year) so I have used the CC to get camping gear/tent etc. Its kind of freaking me out as now the appointments are starting to fill up my diary, hair, meeting friends etc. So for the month of August I will beed to be strict.

Totally agree with you on how scary the numbers are... Just think of when it's all over and what you'll be able to do with that money. I'm with you on pressure now that things are opening - more possibilities for dipping into CC and need to rejig budget to be a bit more realistic with repayments maybe.
