HALIFAX MORTGAGE HOLIDAY

I asked Halifax if they were extending their 3 months mortgage payment holiday, after the first round, and they said they were not offering any further mortgage holidays, and if you have payment difficulties, to ring them to discuss other options.
I was hoping that they would be more flexible.

Have you rung them to discuss other options?

You may find they will be more flexible.
  • Hi,
After following Martin on TV I was almost assuming that the FCA had authorised them to offer extensions.

Lenders have always had the ability to offer payment holidays etc. Now they will be looking at each case on it's own merits. Not simply granting them without a second thought. The lender will delve more into the borrowers finances.
