Switching mortgage deal after applying

Is it possible to switch to a different deal with the same lender after application? I don't want to start the whole process all over again. I originally applied for a two year fixed rate, but now feel that maybe a five year fix would be a better option.
Thanks

  • Depends on lender. Some will charge for making any changes post offer.  Some are as easy as clicking a button.  You'll just have to ask.  If its pre offer then it shouldnt be a problem, post offer then all will do it but some charge
