Hello, I had an Amazon parcel delivered where the delivery driver asked to see ID, they wrote something down off my ID, this was the first item I had ordered that required an age verification check so I am just wondering if this is protocol for the driver to write something down off my ID and what information they would take?

They would take your age confirmation so that they can leave your order with you.

Yes - just for age restricted items such as alcohol.
