Pepper

I was just wondering if anybody had used pepper lately? I've got a few issues on my credit report hence using them. I haven't been furloughed and have a steady income. Affordability isn't an issue and have gone through a broker who seemed confident, said they had seen much worse than mine be accepted. Application has just gone in but obviously concerned! Am also wondering on timescale. Property needs a physical valuation but does anyone know just how big the backlog is?

    Did you use pepper because you thought they did adverse credit?

    If your using a broker, then trust them to match pepper to you

    No one will know without your full circumstances, wait for the decision

    Yes I did use them due to adverse. It was my broker who suggested them. I know I should trust her but she is my second broker... First one was dreadful!! I'm not a very patient person... but I guess there is nothing to do but wait. Am more concerned about the backlog in valuations to be honest.

    Mine went in on the 28th so not far behind you. I'm also still in underwriting stage!

    Pepper are alright, they are being extra cautious at the minute. I think 2 reasons for that, there is little competition and the next few months are uncertain at best. Expect a few questions and a slower process, but I think we have a 100% application to offer ratio with them, so they do usually get there in the end (if it is not 100%, it wont be far off).

    They dont do HTB. I think they were looking at it pre-corona but does not make sense to do it at the minute.
